Walkwise Magazine

A new walking magazine is launched in Scotland today. It's called Walkwise and is also published online. The editor is well known walker Cameron McNeish and it seemingly is produced in partnership with the Scottish Executive's 'Healthy Living' campaign. It will feature all sorts of walks as this quote from the press release shows -

'the first edition contains more than 25 walks suitable for people of all physical abilities, describing popular family, coastal and urban walks. Award-winning photographer Colin Prior also reveals his favourite spots for taking stunning wildlife and landscape photography, while those with a yearning for finding buried treasure can find out how to “walk and earn”. Walkwise will also focus on themed walks in Scotland including the Harry Potter Trail around Perthshire where many of the most famous scenes from the popular films were shot, and for readers of crime novels we explore the Edinburgh of Inspector Rebus, hero of Ian Rankin’s best-selling detective books'.

The launch issue is free and will be distributed across a range of outlets.
